Sunday in Ordinary Time
Brothers and sisters, in today’s Gospel Jesus makes the
complex simple, reducing many laws to only two: We are to love God and
love our
neighbor. Simple, yes, but not easy. And so we come together to pray
for what
we need to keep these two commandments. World Propagation of the Faith October 23, 2011 Today is World Mission Sunday. Before the Ascension the Risen Lord said “As the Father sent me, even so I send you.” We accomplish this task by announcing the Gospel of the Lord by the way we live our lives, supporting the missionary work with our monetary support and prayers. friends, Jesus is patient
with every sinner, but in today’s Gospel we hear that there is
one sin that

Word of Life A primary task for the pro-life movement is to draw society into deeper reflection about the mystery, wonder and value of human life. Our task is to call our brothers and sisters’ hearts and minds to wonder and awe. ~Cardinal George Pell, Archbishop of Respect Life Corner 40 Days for Life: Sept 28 thru Nov 6: a time for prayer, sacrifices, vigils and community outreach for the holiness of all life, from conception until earthly death. 30,000 Rosaries for Life: A diocese campaign from Sept 28 thru Nov 6.
