30. John William⁵ Drake (James⁴, Thomas³, John², Samuel¹), son of James Drake and Nancy Breckenridge was born 10 March 1816. He married Adella Amanda Seawright (born 10 October 1816; died 16 October 1873), daughter of Andrew Seawright (1777-1827) and Margaret Richey (1785-1857) daughter of Robert Richey and Mary Stewart. John died in Abbeville County 22 August 1858. His will has survived.⁷²

         42.        viii.  John Foster Drake, born 1 August 1851; married Bettie Young.
         43.        ix.   Amanda Alice Drake, born 27 February 1853; married James Bell.
         44.        x.   William Baker Drake, born 5 July 1854; married Nancy Dickerson.
         45.        xi.   Vashti Drake, born 5 May 1856, married Sam Sheriff.
         46.        xii.   Sarah Permlia Drake, born 14 February 1852, died 1863.
